My Story
Rhys Adam Fairweather was born in autumn of 1993 in Melbourne, Australia, where he was raised and educated through the early decades of his life.
During his childhood he enjoyed attending Christian Camps, and has attended Essendon Baptist Community Church for the majority of his life. In Primary school he had a firm dislike for English as a subject, however he grew to enjoy writing, and had enjoyed reading from a young age, even if he does still think that English is a senseless language, and that words like tear should not be allowed to mean more than one thing.
During High School, he started many novels, but continued to get stuck after the first few chapters, knowing what would happen later, but not what would happen next. Eventually he decided to jot down ideas, and work on what he could, determined to come back and fill in the blanks once the stories had more shape, but even then, many of the works ended up on a shelf in his room.
Between two semesters of university, Rhys decided to put in a real effort, and wrote most of Summer Son within a couple of months. After much editing, he finally decided that it was ready. He used Facebook (Nicolai's Reflections), Twitter (@RhysFairweather), and personal contacts to help broadcast his work to the world. His aim for the series of “The light of Galtesh” is to release each book within eighteen months of the previous, with the complete series consisting of five parts.
